I heart wine, and I heart you. So let's have a giveaway!

What's not to love? There's something about gathering a fun group of friends for a carefree day of tasting wine in a setting so beautiful it's easy to pretend you're thousands of miles away....

Here's a picture taken of me and my guy about town on a wine tasting trip in Oregon. I'm not the best photo taker, (I should probably work on that with this blog and all...) but look at the beautiful landscape, it definitely has a provincial look to it doesn't it? So pastoral and idyllic...sigh...

Anyway...

Today's show on Earth2World featured Jennifer Kadel, tasting room manager, events manager, and wine extraordinaire from Wineworks Oregon. Jennifer shared some tips on wine tasting, ideas to host a wine tasting event of your own, and we announced a giveaway!

How do you participate and what's the prize?

To start, all you have to do is "like" Girl About Town on Facebook.

Then post on the wall and tell me one of your favorite local haunts, hot spots, happy hours, things to do, or places to see and be seen about town!

The posts that I like will be featured here on the Girl About Town blog. The post with the most "likes" and comments will win....insert imaginary drum roll

A gift certificate for wines from Wineworks Oregon and a winery tour for 4!

I've been on this tour, and I'm telling you, it's a fun time. You and your friends will learn all about wine, how it's made, and be able to sample it at the different stages. You'll get to taste wines from their entire line-up of Zivo, Bernard Machado, Walnut City Wineworks, Robinson Reserve, and Carlton Hill. Many of which scored well in Wine Spectator, one of them as high as 93 pts! Which means even wine snobs should be excited about this prize.

So start posting, liking and commenting. Encourage your friends to do the same, and don't forget to watch the show under our "episodes" tab or on www.earth2world.com.

Viva la Vino!
